Privacy Policy
This policy describes what Prepiko collects, why we use it, which providers help us operate, and the choices you have.

Scope and controller
This Privacy Policy explains how Adl AI, Inc. (“Prepiko,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you use Prepiko’s websites, applications, IELTS preparation tools, practice tests, speaking features, subscriptions, and support services. Adl AI, Inc. is the controller of personal information described here, except where a service provider acts independently under its own policy.
By using Prepiko, you acknowledge this Policy and our Terms of Service. For transactions processed via CloudPayments (Russian cards/SBP), please also see our Russian Privacy Policy and Russian Terms (Публичная оферта). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Information we collect
- Account and profile: email address, account identifier, verification status, display name, language, target band, role, and account creation date.
- Onboarding and preferences: IELTS goal, experience, current and target band, difficult skill, exam timeline, study time, concerns, and optional name. Before account creation, this information is stored locally in your browser; after authentication, selected profile fields may be synchronized to your account.
- Learning activity: practice answers, essays, exam attempts, scores, feedback, recommendations, progress, streaks, lesson activity, and related timestamps.
- Voice and speaking information: microphone audio while a speaking feature is active, transcripts, prompts, session events, timing, and generated feedback. Depending on the feature, audio may be processed in real time and transcripts or feedback may be retained with your practice history.
- Subscription and transaction information: selected plan, payment provider, provider-associated customer, subscription, invoice and transaction identifiers, checkout and payment status, billing period, amount, currency, payer email, and fiscal receipt line items. For ApiPay/Kaspi payments, we also process the payment phone number needed to issue the invoice. Stripe, CloudPayments, and ApiPay—not Prepiko—collect complete payment credentials.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, requested URLs, timestamps, error and security logs, approximate location inferred from IP or timezone, and local-storage or cookie values needed for authentication and preferences.
- Communications: information you include when requesting support, exercising privacy rights, or otherwise contacting us.
How we receive information
We receive information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device, from your use of Prepiko, and from service providers such as Amazon Cognito, Stripe, and ApiPay/Kaspi. We do not intentionally collect information from unrelated third-party data brokers.
How we use information
- Create, authenticate, secure, and support your account.
- Generate your study plan, deliver practice sessions, calculate progress, and provide estimated scores and feedback.
- Process subscriptions, confirm payments, provide invoices, prevent duplicate purchases, and manage access rights.
- Operate speaking and transcription features when you enable microphone access.
- Maintain reliability, troubleshoot errors, prevent fraud or abuse, and protect users and the Service.
- Understand aggregate feature usage and improve content, accessibility, performance, and learning workflows.
- Comply with law, enforce our Terms, resolve disputes, and protect legal rights.
- Communicate service, security, billing, support, and policy updates. We will seek any consent required before sending optional marketing messages.
Legal bases
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our contract with you (providing accounts, practice, and subscriptions); for legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, service improvement, and support; with your consent where required, including device microphone permission and optional communications; and to comply with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Automated scoring and language processing
Prepiko uses automated language and speech systems to generate practice material, transcripts, estimated band scores, feedback, and recommendations. These outputs can be inaccurate and are not official IELTS results. They do not make legal or similarly significant decisions about you. You may choose whether to use microphone-based features and can contact us about a result or delete associated account data subject to applicable retention requirements.
International data transfers
Prepiko and its providers may process information in countries other than where you live, including the United States and regions where our cloud services operate. Those countries may have different privacy laws. Where required, we use recognized safeguards such as contractual protections and provider transfer mechanisms, while preserving mandatory rights available in your location.
Data retention
We retain account and learning information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide practice history. Transaction records may be retained longer to meet tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal obligations. Security logs are retained for a limited operational period. Browser-only onboarding data remains on your device until you clear site data or it is replaced.
When you request deletion, we delete or de-identify information that is no longer required, subject to legal obligations, dispute resolution, security needs, backup cycles, and records necessary to demonstrate transactions or compliance. De-identified aggregate information that cannot reasonably identify you may be retained.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, including authenticated access, encrypted network transport, restricted secret storage, signed payment webhooks, and access controls. No system is completely secure. Protect your credentials and contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized account activity.
Your choices and privacy rights
Submit requests to support@prepiko.ai. We may verify your identity before acting and may retain information where the law permits or requires. Authorized agents must provide proof of authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
- Update profile information in Prepiko, manage Stripe billing through the Stripe portal, and manage CloudPayments recurring subscriptions through my.cloudpayments.ru.
- Deny or revoke microphone access in browser or device settings; speaking features requiring audio will then be unavailable.
- Clear local onboarding and preference data through your browser’s site-data controls.
- Request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection where applicable, and withdraw consent for consent-based processing.
- Opt out of optional marketing communications using the message instructions or by contacting us. Service and billing messages may still be necessary.
- Appeal a denied privacy request or complain to your local data-protection authority where the law provides that right.
Children
Prepiko is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Users under the age of legal majority should use Prepiko only with permission and supervision from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact support@prepiko.ai so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.
Changes and contact
We may update this Policy when our practices, providers, product, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised Policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required for material changes.
